Taylor swift is on the cover of the Auguest issue of teen vogue, looking very retro, to say the least. Although many will argue that the photos of her make her seem older, I appreciate Teen vogue's way of portraying her in a different light. What do you think ?

Justin Bieber sure knows how to make time for the ladies he loves. Justin Bieber attended the Monte Carlo Premiere in New York,  yesterday in  support of  gal pal, and rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez .   Bieber was in New york co-hosting The View and appearing on The  Today Show , all to promote his new fragrance "Someday". Selena was reportedly overjoyed and surprised of Justin's appearance to her premiere,  due to his busy schedule.

Lindsay Lohan drinks her way back to court !

Surprise ! Surprise ! Lindsay Lohan was  ordered back  into court today after alcohol was reportedly found in her system, thereby violating her probation.   She was later released today , while her lawyer was making the media rounds  saying she does NOT have a problem. Her lawyers came to  note that it was unfair for the court to test her for alcohol  and what they should have been testing for was drugs, as that was somewhat what led her to go under house arrest. Seriously this is getting soooo old .....Last time I checked someone who is arrested on numerous occasions for drug possession, and a DUI does have a problem......hmmm I hate to say I told you so ...but I knew house arrest was not going to do the trick. What this princess needs is a reality check....meaning jail time that a non celeb would get for the same crime .

Ariel Winter - A fashion fiasco at the Critic's Choice Television Awards

  

Modern Family Star, Ariel Winter, attended The Critic's Choice Television  Awards ,on Monday. Ariel stepped out wearing a black and white jumpsuit, that seems to do more harm than good,   for 13 year old.  My biggest issue I have for this particular piece , is the fact that it is not age appropriate. The suit would look decent on someone who is say in their 30's as opposed to someone who  is just 13. The big black buttons, and the pinstripes carry a vibe of maturity, which is hard to take seriously being that every one knows her as being this awkward little pre-teen on Modern Family.  Also the color just seems to wash her out and make her look like a ghost.  Which is definitely not highlighting Ariel's natural beauty.

Bristol Palin's Memoir to hit bookshelves this Tuesday !

   Just when we thought Bristol Palin  was  disappearing from the spotlight for good .....she comes out with a book. Now before you cross this book off your summer reads, The book entitled "Not Afraid of Life : My Life so far ", reveals some explosive details, about her life as a scandalous politician's daughter. She reveals everything from life in Alaska, becoming a teen mom, her rocky relationship with her now ex, / baby daddy Levi Johnson, and even how she lost her virginity . Bristol documents  in her book that she was drunk on wine coolers  when she lost her virginity and  then boyfriend Levi, was less then pleased with the news of  the pregnancy. Also , Palin confesses that her then Boyfriend Levi, was a chronic cheater , who even impregnated another girl during their relationship....UMMM GROSS. Looks like Levi took a page from John Edwards !

A book deal is not all that this 20 year old has been up to. Besides getting plastic surgery , It looks as though Bristol is going to jump on the Reality T.V show bandwagon....again. I guess Dancing with the Stars wasn't humiliating enough because she recently scored a T.V show  deal with the Bio network. Her new  show is supposedly going to capture her big move from Alaska to Los Angeles and living life as Kyle Massey's roomie.  Hmmm I thought she already moved  to  Arizona earlier this year ....Interesting  .

Selena Gomez hospitalized for exhaustion

 Disney's Selena Gomez was hospitalized over the weekend . The Wizards of Waverly Place star took to fans today at her  Santa Monica concert , stating that her hospitalization was simply due to a lack of iron ,and exhaustion. The hospitalization led to several appearance cancellations , including the Santa Monica Place show, which was rescheduled for today, and   the  On air with Ryan Secreast , radio show . The teen star seems to be in good spirits , even sending her deepest apologies  to fans for her absence. Her quick recovery has come at  perfect  timing as  she is set to co-host the Much Music Video  Awards in Toronto Ontario, this Sunday at 9 et/6pt 

The 50's/60's era is making a comeback !

This season it looks as though  the 60's are  making a comeback. Polka Dots and light pastel colors are becoming  all the rage.  I came across this gorgeous dress available for purchase at Forever 21. This simplistic summer dress ,  equipped with polka dots, and a sweetheart neckline ,   adds the perfect  touch of  innocence to the dress .

Make it Or Break it, May just not Make it !

As season 2  of Make it or Break it, has come to a close , no official word has come out with regards to the future longevity of the program. Despite being an avid reality T.V show fanatic, Make it or Break it has

 always been  one of those shows to win over my viewing . Perhaps my secret childhood desire of becoming a gymnast , is why the program has intrigued me to the extent that it did . The show is point blank refreshing . From my perspective, it seems as though teen programming has become quite repetitive, resulting in similar story-lines.   For example we have MTV's brood of teen pregnancy shows ( Teen Mom, 16 and Pregnant),  and ABC family's scripted rendition The Secret Life of the Amercian Teenager.  We also have shows such as JONAS and Big time Rush, or Victorious and Sonny with a chance , Gossip Girl and 90210. OH  don't even get me started with the multitude of paranormal -type T.V shows that are long past there due date T.V program.creativity has certainly reached a standstill ,

Make it or break it surrounds the story of four gymnasts vying to make it to the Olympics . Along with amazing gymnastics, it also gives view to the level of sacrifice these athletes go through to be the greatest in the country . This past season, was filled with drama . They had everything imaginable happen including the  mild departure of their coach, gymnastics team captain, Kaylie dealing  with an eating disorder, cheating, lying, and a pregnancy resulting in a promising gymnasts departure.

Will Pasty Ever Win ?

Like most teens, I spent a majority my Saturday strolling through the mall, eyeing all that is there in consumer goods. While at the mall, I could not help but notice the vast array of tanning products and services being displayed left and right. It got me thinking , will natural pasty skin tones ever win in regards to summer? In summer, it seems as though pasty white skin has been deemed as queer and outlandish. What ever happened to cherishing your skin for the way it truly is? Sure , a tan may aid you in looking better in your bikini, or summer dress, but at what cost ?

Last year I came across a compelling article in Teen Vogue about teens obsessed with the perfect tan,using a tanning bed and the natural sun to achieve their results . The obsession became so intense that the tanning bed later became their death bed, due to skin cancer.. Certainly a very daunting ordeal  to endure at such a young age.

Furthermore, its not just skin cancer that can arise from tanning. Tanning can also initiate premature aging. Now tell me tan-obsessed teens , How many of you wish to have severe wrinkles by the time your thirty ? hmmm yeah not me ! ....I guess what I want you to get out of my health-inspired rant is to cherish the skin that god gave you ...Its beautiful just the way it is ....Okay, I know I sound just like my mother , but its true ...tanned skin is unhealthy skin....so enjoy the summer, slap on that sunscreen, and for those of you still itching for that perfect tan, I advise you to look into spray tanning or self -tanning products.Self tanning products can be found at your local drug store. My personal favorite is the "Self Sun " line by Clinique
